Description
A strong contrasting ring using textured sterling silver and highly polished 18k yellow gold.
About the metalwork:
The ring is fabricated by casting it in two parts and then soldering it together to create a strong ring, with only a single solder seam. The silver and 18k parts are both continuous, creating a solid piece. This ring uses solid sterling silver and solid 18k yellow gold
About the gemstones:
The two smaller stones are natural un-heated montana sapphires, both off which are a steely blue-grey with good clarity and some sparkle to them as they catch the light.
The opal is a vintage opal inlay in black onyx. This opal spent the first few decades of it's life in a small residence by the sea, and likely saw some action, but overall is very well kept and very little work had to be done to polish it up. It does have one very small nick in the opal which can be plainly seen in the photos. This is a solid opal, not a mosaic. It is set into a solid piece of onyx. Pieces like this are not seen very often anymore as they are very difficult to create and natural australian opal of this grade is getting harder and harder to come by.
A one of a kind piece, read to ship!
