These stones are very rare and seldom come to market as the mine has had very limited production.
This is a larger pear stone, very thick. This type of turquoise is very hard with a higher silica content and takes a beautiful polish.

Candelaria Turquoise is one of the rarest turquoise stones in the world. The mine had a very limited production of turquoise as it was primarily a metal ore mine and the turquoise originated from a very inaccessible part of the mine. The mine opened in 1863 and is located in Nevada, USA.
