ACCENT METAL
I highly recommend that you select either a contrasting color, or a matching color for the ring and accent metal. Selecting yellow gold and rose gold will be difficult to see the color difference. While sterling silver can be used as the lion in any other metal ring, it is recommended that you select a grade of gold that is as least as high in karat, if not higher. For example, if the ring metal is 14k white gold, I suggest using 18k yellow gold for the best contrast. If selecting 10k yellow gold, Then I recommend using 10k or better white gold for the lion. Personally, I feel that white metals for the ring, and yellow metals for the lion have the best look.
