A beautifully simple high contrast ring made from solid sterling Silver and 14k yellow gold!
The stone is a beautiful natural Mexican precious Fire Opal.
It does have beautiful rolling color play in the stone.
The base color is a vivid reddish orange
The ring is solid sterling silver and the prong setting is solid 14k yellow gold (Not plated). I used a milled piece of wire with a beautiful floral pattern as the center accent stripe and I hand textured a piece of thick 18 gauge silver sheet for the wider flared band. I later trimmed the ring to be narrower on the bottom for comfort and rounded and polished and the edges.
I also included a collage of photos off the process of making the ring. There were a lot of additional steps that I didn't have time or an extra hand to take pictures of.
