Description
This opal is a real knockout. Neon like fire covers the whole surface, showing brightly in every direction. The ring is a unique design, made in solid 14k white gold with a 14k yellow gold bezel holding the stone tightly and securely. Because this opal has a smooth, flat top, and the bezel is slightly raised, it is well protected against scratches and dings.
The band is adorned with a total of 45 natural black spinel gemstones. Each one is a full round cut, and has zero treatments.
The gold used in this ring is quality USA milled 14k alloy. It has not been rhodium plated. This has allowed me to create the slightly antiqued patina on the band, completing the slightly vintage look. It also means that you'll never have to re-plate the ring.
Ring Details in a nutshell:
Opal: Natural, Solid, Mined in Honduras, Central America, Very Rare. 5/5 brightness, Purchased in 2011 and has not faded or cracked at all.
Spinel: 45 stones total (22 - 1.5mm stones on the band, and 23 - 1.3mm stones on the halo).
This ring is one of a kind.
Makes a perfect engagement ring. The halo and opal are elevated above the finger which will allow a wedding band to slide neatly up against the engagement ring.
