This is the 200th pendant I have made if you do not count custom orders. I have been doing silver work now for almost 5 years and this stone has sat in my collection almost since Day One. And now I have crafted this special piece as a symbol that my work serves in my life: A focus a goal and path for the future.

Hand crafted using solid sterling silver and 14k yellow gold.
The points of the compass are all solid 14k yellow gold as are the two studs on either side of the bail supports.
The stone;
The soft brown of this smoky quartz is so smooth and velvety that it begs to be touched. The high dome cab is almost 15mm tall and the stone is 21mm across making it over 46 carats.
And the star! A crisp 6 pointed star. I have two pictures showing the stone under diffused light and two pictures showing it with a simple flashlight shown directly into the stone. The star is best seen from the top of course but the side shot shows the glow of the stone well. Star smoky quartz is very very rare.
