This project started with a plain empty pendant with some unusual organic metal work. The pendant had been designed and crafted by a Brazilian metal worker back in the 70's or 80's. The client and I chose one of my nicer Central American opals and a selection of loose gemstones that would complement it well. I then carefully added the bezel settings and gold droplets and then set the opal and gems in the pendant. The project also included repairing the chain and adding a new magnetic clasp for easier use.
