This is a new twist (pun intended!) on a classic design: The bypass Engagement ring!
I find it hard to make something normal but I sure try sometimes! This time, I got pretty close with this "solitaire" ring design, with a bold swooping bypass ring shank, and contrasting yellow gold prongs. I had almost finished the ring and decided it needed something to set it apart from the heard. So I added tow flush mount white diamonds to the sides of the ring shank, one on each side. I think it ads a bit of playfulness to an already jubilant ring as the diamonds play peekaboo with the wearer and view alike.
The stone I selected was a very special stone, which my wife and I had cut ourselves in a specialty "Concave" cut. This is a Lab Created Pink Sapphire, we purchased a half vug of this amazing corundum and had several of these stones cut from it. it is visually, chemically and physically identical to a perfect gem grade natural pink sapphire.
